Terms and Refunds

What you are buying
A formatting service. I take the resume you send and render its content into a chosen template, and return an editable Microsoft Word .docx file and a matching PDF.
What I change, and what I do not
Three mechanical changes only: dates are standardised to one format; heading text written in full capitals is set in the template's capitalisation, preserving real acronyms; and a trailing full stop is removed from bullets.
Your wording is otherwise reproduced exactly, including weak phrasing, informal language and claims without numbers. This is not writing, editing, proofreading or coaching, and nothing here is a representation that your resume will perform better, that it will pass any particular employer's screening software, or that you will be interviewed or hired.
Turnaround
One business day for the single style and the three-style pack, three business days for a role-targeted build, counted from when I receive both your payment and your file. If I am going to miss that, I will tell you before the deadline rather than after.
Revisions
One round of revisions is included with the single style and the three-style pack; two rounds with a role-targeted build. A revision means correcting what I got wrong — content routed to the wrong section, a date misread, a layout problem. Rewriting your content is not a revision, because writing your content is not part of this service. Revision requests should reach me within 14 days of delivery.
Refunds
Plainly, because a vague refund policy helps nobody:
- Before I start work, a full refund, no reason needed. Email me and it is done.
- After delivery, if the document is not usable — content in the wrong place, a layout that is broken, a file that will not open — tell me what is wrong. I will rebuild it. If the rebuild still is not right, I refund you in full and you keep the files.
- Changing your mind about the style you picked is a revision, not a refund: I will rebuild it in a different style once, at no charge.
- I do not refund because your content did not get the response you hoped for. The service formats what you wrote; it does not change what you wrote.
Refunds go back to the original payment method and normally clear within five business days.
If you are buying from the UK or the EU
You ordinarily have 14 days to withdraw from a distance contract. Because this service is usually finished within one business day, you will be asked at checkout to agree that work may begin immediately and to acknowledge that once it is complete your right to withdraw is lost. If you would rather keep the 14-day right, say so and I will simply hold the work until it expires.
Your file
You own your resume and everything in it; sending it to me changes nothing about that. You grant me permission to process it only to build your document. You confirm the content is yours to send. I do not use your resume as a sample or a portfolio piece, and every example on this site is a fictional person.
Limits
If something goes wrong, my liability is limited to what you paid. Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.
Governing law
New York law, and the courts of New York, except where consumer law in your own country gives you rights you cannot be deprived of by contract.
